Karpatka viewpoint

How to get there: Walk from the center of Karpacz towards the dam on Łomnica, then a short climb from the parking lot by the dam.
What you'll see: Here opens one of the easiest accessible panoramas of the Karkonosze. From the peak of Karpatka, there is a wide view of the Karkonosze and Karpacz buildings, and eastwards, you will see the ridge from the Rock Table to the Sunflower. It is a very pleasant panorama of the Karpacz mountains, worth seeing even during a short visit to town. The walking loop takes about an hour.

Pohulanka – a lesser-known viewpoint

How to get there: Leave your car at a small parking lot at the end of Wolna street in Karpacz; from there, a very short, unmarked path leads through the forest.
What you'll see: This is a hidden mountain spot easily accessible from Karpacz, offering a pleasant panorama of the Karkonosze and the Kowary Ridge. Pohulanka is a less popular, wilder place, which is why it impresses with peace and a natural view of the Karkonosze without crowds.

A calmer mountain adventure: a walk from Karpacz to Samotnia

If you dream of a mountain walk with views but without very demanding climbs, the route from Karpacz through the Glade to Samotnia Shelter will be spot on. It is one of the most pleasant hikes in this part of the region, allowing you to experience what the panorama of the Karkonosze really is — broad, open, and changing with every curve of the trail.

Already on the first sections, there is a view of the Karkonosze, and the higher you go, the more frequently the forest gives way to open spaces. At such moments, a panorama of the mountains unfolds before your eyes, typical for this part of the range: rolling ridges, rugged slopes, and a clear mountain line on the horizon. This is a typical mountain view in the Karpacz area, which does not require climbing peaks or strenuous climbing.

The highlight of the route is Samotnia Shelter, located by the Small Pond. It is one of the places many tourists describe as the golden view in Karpacz — a combination of water, steep walls of the glacial cirque, and the silence of the high mountains. At this point, quite close to the town of Karpacz, the Karkonosze views show their most classic face.
